| Many homeless street people sleep each night without even a warm blanket to keep them warm and protect them from the elements. A small blanket from a thrift store or an inexpensive blanket from a discount store means so much to these people.
It is thought that many families that live from one paycheck to another each week are only one month away from going from their middle class lifestyle to becoming homeless. Few people are fortunte enough to have familes to take them in during a time of financial crisis and public assistance is slow to receive and many find themselves living in their cars or sleeping in a cardboard box outside to keep warm. Just imagine how many inexpensive blankets you could purchase with $100.00 to help keep these poor souls warm. This would be a wonderful way to start a new year and help even one homeless person or entire family with small children find just a little warmth. You never know when you help someone needy in the winter. You may not only be keeping them warm,fleece blankets, but saving their life as many homeless die each year from exposure to the cold and snow. *Although there are many different types of blankets, the old-fashioned wool blanket is as popular as ever. What kind of blanket do you have on your bed? Many are using duvets for their bedding needs,blankets, but some folks find that they are too heavy to use personally. Wool blankets are generally much lighter than duvets, but maintain their warmth better. One of the big differences between the two blankets though is in how they are cleaned. With a duvet,thanksgiving gifts, cleaning is as simple as putting it in a washing machine and then in the dryer. Take it out and put it on your bed,blankets California, and it's as good as new.
