| CNC machine tool manufacturer Okuma America Corporation and distributor Hartwig Inc. will host a CNC Technology event at the Hartwig location in Dallas May 2-5, 2011. The event is designed to recognize the fact that manufacturing is alive and well in Texas and showcase how Okuma equipment can help manufacturers become even more profitable and productive.
Okuma machines on display will include: the new MB-5000H horizontal machining center, a V100R vertical turning lathe,lathe tools, an MU-500 5-axis machining center, LOC-500, LU-45 and Multus-B400 horizontal lathes and Millac 761 and Millac 33T vertical machining centers. All machines will be cutting parts and members of Partners in THINC will be on hand representing tooling, workholding, gauging, software and other machine tool accessory equipment. Featured seminars will be presented by Larry Schwartz, Okuma’s chief strategy officer, Linda Ehler, CFO of Hartwig and Matt Kooba, president of IEC. Other presenting companies, including Hexagon Metrology, Sandvik, Caron Engineering and Kennametal will combine classroom seminars with a hands-on look at Okuma machines and peripheral equipment. Additional equipment and technology on display will include a Brown & Sharpe Global Advantage gauging system, Romer Arm and two Tsugami machines.
