Once a Rocker, Always a Rocker
Get Him to the Greek supplies us with lung clogging laughs throughout the entire film. The foul mouth's, quick one lines and painfully funny situations keep us rolling for two hours. But the film also has many strong messages and gets real. Aldous Snow is presented to us as a more troubled and dark character beneath the surface, something we didn't see in Sarah Marshall. Through Snow's behaviour, Aaron's opened eyes and many comments made by Sergio (Diddy) we are reminded of how actual musicians and celebrities are treated by their agents and managers and what sort of pressure can be put on them to do what the public wants. At first young Aaron is willing to lie to Aldous to make him feel better as Sergio advised [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but as the film progresses, Aaron can no longer feed Snow's life diminishing habits.

Get Him to the Greek Movie Review
Judd Apatow and The Greek
With unforgettably hilarious performances by P. Diddy, Jonah Hill and Russell Brand; plus a whole bill of comical celebrity cameo's, Get Him to the Greek will keep you in stitches, nearly bring you to tears and really make you think next time you want to get huffy when an artist decides to take control of their artistry.
Aldous Snow is much like the Aldous Snow we remember from 2008. He's spacey [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], intellectual and philosophical but he's not sober this time. Aldous has hit rock bottom after falling way off the charts and being slammed as having made a travesty of Africa's plight with his album African Child. Aldous has also lost his life's love thanks to being sober and is now back into the drink and the drugs. Aaron must keep Snow sober until after the Greek Theater performance.
Russell Brand returns to the big screen as Aldous Snow; the deviant rocker with a sick sense of humor and care free charm. This time however, Snow has many more dimensions that were absent in his first appearance in 2008's Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The focus is not all on Snow, but more so on Jonah Hill's character, Aaron Green. Green is a struggling young record company intern looking for his one big moment. This moment comes to him when his boss (hilariously played by none other than P. that P.Diddy) gives him the opportunity of a lifetime. Aaron must fly to London and pick up washed up Rocker Aldous snow who happens to be Aaron's favorite musician, bring him back to L.A. to perform the 10th anniversary show at Greek Theater.
A Great Comedy with a Big Heart
Four out of four stars!
Russell Brand really shined in this film as a tragic character almost more so than as a comical figure. His demons take hold of him and we see conviction in his tearful eyes not normally seen by someone like Brand who more or less just brings their own real life persona to the set. Many critics have slammed the film for giving Brand his own movie based on a supporting character in a previous film. All of the characters bring so much more to the table than expected in every way imaginable.
Hill normally comes off as disturbed and off-putting in the films he's played in by providing us with some unlikeable qualities. In this film he does the opposite and right away we find him charming [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], cute and are rooting for him to succeed. Hill's docile nature and sheepish nature allow us to label him as an underdog we can all cheer on.
