With one lefty going against the Yankees insert Marcus Thames to the DH spot. Thames kills left-handers. With Thames at the DH spot this will allow the Yankees to keep the best defensive team in with Winn,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Gardner and Swisher.

While Gardner might not be the typical number two hitter but their ability to steal and disrupt one pitchers concentration when on base will make things easier for Teixeira and ARod.

Until ARod, Tex and Johnson get it going this is the best way to score runs and to give the lineup length.
