Gladiators will also apparently be masters of throwing knives, which is well, quite cool! The Pugilist class is basically your monk, but is also able to throw a chakram with deadly proficiency. Several of the weapons for both classes have also been revealed in the site update, with a standout being the Lantern Shield for the Gladiator which appears to be a shield that can be affixed with blades. Awesome! According to a report over at FFXIV fansite FFXIVCore, fans who purchase FFXIII will receive access to the FFXIV beta test. This information has appeared in a set of scans from Japanese magazine Shonen Jump.Keep in mind that this story is currently classified as a rumor, and it has not been confirmed.
