nese arts are influenced by three major religions- Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. Another major influence was nature. The three major kinds of subject they liked to paint were birds, flowers, and landscapes from the countryside. All the religions stress love for nature. All landscape painters tried to get a feeling of the human spirit and the strength of the wind, water, mist and mountains. Painting became an art form more than 2000 years ago then influenced the later painters. Edition art is one among many sorts of art in the world.
Art is defined as the expression in arranging different elements in a way that collectively stimulates ones senses, emotion or intellect. Since time immemorial, art has been mans way of expressing himself in way communicating with others, voicing an opinion, spreading a thought, protesting or leaving a legacy. It has been a long journey since with different times bringing in different forms of art, diversity in race, culture, civilizations too.
These different forms, when studied, take the name of Movements. A few examples of Art Movements include the Renaissance which was a movement that began in 14th century Italy and the word Renaissance literally meaning rebirth [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], pronounces the revival of interest in the artistic achievements of the Post-Medieval Period. Another example of an art movement is the Bauhaus movement. Bauhaus was a school of art, design and architecture founded in Germany in 1919. Bauhaus style is differentiated by its intricate geometric design and by its respect for materials. The Bauhaus school was created by Walter Gropius when he was appointed head of two art schools in Weimar. He consequently integrated them into one amalgamated art school. He coined the term Bauhaus as an inversion of 'Hausbau' - house construction.
Wang Keping who was born in 1949 in Beijing is one of China's most influential artists. Wang was a member of the experimental Stars Group of artists that formed in 1979, breaking with China's propaganda art and setting the stage for avant-garde art in China. Huang Rui and Ai Wei Wei were also members. Wang's unique wooden sculptures, including one that featured a Buddha like Mao figure, shook the art world in Beijing. He later moved to Paris. His wooden sculptures are still popular in the auction world.
Wang Guangyi is a Chinese artist known for being the front-runner of the New Art Movement circles that erupted out of China after 1989 and for his Great Criticism series of paintings, using the images of propaganda from the Cultural Revolution from 1966 to 1976 and contemporary brand names from western advertising. As an example [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Artinfo notes that one of Wang Guangyiss Great Criticism paintings responds to the recent influx of advertising by juxtaposing the Coca-Cola logo with an image of a Chinese soldier, appropriating the visual iconography of both the Chinese Cultural Revolution and American pop art. His Mao AO painting from 1988 was sold for 2,036,000 ($4.1 million) at a Phillips de Pury & Company auction in London in December 2007. Wang Guangyi was born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province in 1956. In 1984 Wang Guangyi graduated from the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. He currently based in Beijing, China.
